Advanced Steel Design and Optimization (P203)

Online Training Registration


This class is designed to broaden the structural and civil engineer's steel design expertise and understanding of S-STEEL, Scratch Pad and S-PAD design and optimization tools. We will explain how to design non-conventional members and sections including composite beams, double angle struts, custom sections and others. Work more efficiently by configuring S-STEEL settings and exporting customized engineering documentation. This course also covers Scratch Pad, a built-in S-STEEL design tool, useful for performing additional design checks without the need to define an entire model.

Format

The course is delivered in a live two and half hour lecture.

Includes graded Final exam (you will receive a score report for your records)

Certificate of mastery will be provided to attendees that achieve a final score above 75% and Educational Units will go towards an S-FRAME certification

Earn PDH (Professional Development Credits) for attendance
 

Who Should Attend

Any structural engineer responsible for the modeling, analysis, and design of steel structures or steel-concrete structures.

Prerequisites

Class registrants should have a technical education and background in civil or structural engineering

Prior enrollment in the Steel Design and Optimization (P201) Online Training course is recommended, or a strong working knowledge of S-FRAME and S-STEEL.
